F70 ing again and really enjoying the hunts

Got out a few times in the past week and it was great getting out. I am having to learn the detector all over again. I went out without looking at the manual and do you know what, I forgot how to use a number of things to make the F70 hum along. But being the putz that I am it still was fun.
Another thing I must mention. Playing games on the computer all winter for hours doesn't really build you up physically. I am exhausted at about 2 hours of detecting.
Here is some of the stuff I have found on the beach so far... I did find a 1947 wheat and 1940 nickel in the picture also.... Thanks for looking and Happy Trails.....Z

cool finds
keep at it

Nice hunting Z. Good watch haul. I think I've been getting about 1 a year ... and mostly of the very cheap watch variety.

Thanks Walt and tvr for replies.
The real strange thing is that it was like I was new to detecting again. I got all excited by a sand encrusted penny find and the 2 rings were 925's and big gold ring was junk. Both watches must have been there most of the winter because they both don't work and weather beaten with sand inside the faces. I am like a kid again swearing :jump: at the dumb detector because it doesn't do what I want it to and digging up all kinds of stuff. When I got home and read the manual I discovered that I was pushing the wrong buttons. No wonder it didn't work the way it should have. I am surprised that I found anything. Just goes to show you even a knob like me can find treasure with the F70.... Happy Tails...Z
