F70 lays a fruitless assault on the beach

Well out with my new F70.., all thought it wasn't a good day for finds, I still say it was a good day. I set up as follows; disc 22 send 60 thres 1 speed de... The machine ran quick and deep, I found all junk today, but I found it deep. The beach I hunted today is closed all winter and just opened April 1st, and it has miles of area to hunt. And let me tell you the pull tabs are there by the truck loads. After 3 hours I couldn't locate any coins band on the beach and left beaten and skunked, but I will not give up, I will return and gold will be mine. The F70 is an awesome machine the dd coil is smoking deep on this setup, I couldn't be happier.

Great! :clapping: Glad you are liking the F70...it is a monster for beach sweeping, fast, light, deep. Those pulltabs are what you want to hear...especially if they have some age to them, if they have turned sort of gray instead of fresh silver looking...they would not be there if somebody else was sweeping this place. So I would be excited about the gold prospects, the lack of coins is troubling though...you should have found something coinish... you might want to drop your disc down below 10 though, you will hear bobby pins at 11, which are a good sign that you are in some likely spot, and you will find knives and lighters too...you want those little foil signals, 21 on up...I remember the very first gold ring I ever found, it was on a beach, I was really new to this sport, and for some reason I had the idea that gold would come in high tone,...luckily I was going after every thing, and got a small gold band with an opal in it at 21..most all of the small gold rings are in the 20's...Man, beach hunting a huge area is a workout! Stay at it, and Good Luck!
Mud.

Mud, I have found 3 rings with the F5 last year, which was really good no more than I got to go with my divorce. The pull tabs are a good sign, and yes some of them were very old out lake is around 7-8 ft low right now so you can get way out there and not get wet. I really think I need to pay closer attention to the lay of the beach and hit the hotest spots first. So, you think I should drop my disc a few points? That's where I ran my F5 was 22 and I liked it because it dropped the 22 cal shells and bullets for the most part. Our lake had a lot of those.

OK, I get it, those .22 shells, bullets, and even the split shots are a b alright...fall right through the scoop for me, so I give up on them if they do....I guess that's good though, they sure sound exactly like gold would. I would try off to the side of the main beach area...sometimes those areas really are productive...and used to be the 'main' beach a long time ago.

Well that was only round 1.., oh hey, I wanted to thank you for your tip about raising the coil to pin point the target, that works good.
