F70 RELIC SETTINGS?

HELLO,I JUST GOT MY F70 YESTERDAY AND HAVE ALWAYS USED A 1266X AND WAS WONDERING IF SOMEONE COULD TELL ME WHAT SETTINGS THEY NORMALLY USE FOR RELIC HUNTING TO GET ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE.THANKS,STEVE

I have good luck with de mode 2 or 3H tones sens as high as you can run it and adjust the threshold to the area you are hunting in for EMI noise, I run mine at -3. On the autotune mode, sens as high as you can, threshold with a slight hum. If it is not trashy, I use At mode and look at the ####'s to ID.

Dont know if this makes a lot of sense, but Ive been hunting a very old site with a lot of iron and rusty nails etc. Ive have gotten old coins there, which is what Im after at this point. Besides running mine at about the same settings discussed above, Im going back to go over that area again with the tones at 2f. In the manual it says 2f will put out a low tone for iron and higher tone for anything else. I might ignore the low tone for now and focus on the others, you might want to focus on the low tone, although I know "relics" are in a lot of metals other than iron. I havent used this setting yet but thats what it cites as the advantage to the 2f, which is probably whats referred to as 2 tone above. It takes a while I find on any machine to familiarize my self with its various beeps, dings, and bells- the more you use the F70 the more in tune with it you become, believe me. Good hunting
