F70 settings

Eric

New member
I'm looking for good settings for general use of the f70. My soil has low mineralization!

Thank you in advance, Eric.

In low mineral I am really liking the 10" coil set at disc 4 sens 90 threshold -2 DE and 1 or 1f tone. I get unbelieveable depth with this setting and runs quiet. I can't get the 11dd to run quiet and get the depth.

hey rick i had the same problem with my 11 inch coil on my f70 i sent it to fisher and they fixed it so you might call them. eric i would play around and try different settings and find what works best for you for coin shootin i liked 3 or 4 tones on my f70 relic hunting 1f tones alway had the threshold at -3 run the sense as high as you can and have it run smooth you want it to run quiet so you can hear the deeper signals. the 11 inch coil should get a little better depth and has better target seperation works better in trashy areas than the10 inch coil, but the 10 inch does a better job with bottle caps good luck and hh

Thanks Guys. The first F70 i had was of the first batch and they had some problems. In certain areas it drove me nuts because it went erratic even at 0 sens. Will try this one now. On farmfields it worked like a dream.
