F75 11" Coil

Been having issues with my 11" coil,at first thought maybe I wasnt getting it plugged in tight enough,, well yesterday it failed all together. It stoped communicating with the power head at first then I managed to get it to work but all it would display was 20-22 tid's and overload (raise coil from ground) This time though I had my cousin with me and we swapped coils as he runs a F75 also.Well his coil worked on my 75 but my coil done the same thing on his !!!My 5" works fine.So I found that right at the connector where the shrink tape is,if I hold it between my fingers it seems to work.Leading me to believe there is a break in the wireing there?? Guess I will take a trip next saturday to the dealer and see what Al can do for me,I guess its no big deal my days are very limmited now any how.Any suggestions would be appreciated....hh rick in mi.

your plan seems like the right thing to do. GL with it.

Rick, that hexagon nut in front of the tape has small screws in it. One of mine apparently loosened up and fell out some time ago and the coil was doing the same thing as yours. I took one out of one of my other coils and tightened it and the others down good and no problems since. Called Felix and he sent me 4 or 5 extras. Don't know if that is the problem with yours, but worth a try. Good luck! HH jim tn
