f75 15" coil. anyone try it?

I just bought a standard f75 and I guess it comes with a charger and 15' Fisher coil so I was just wondering if anyone has tried it for coin shooting. theres not much info on anyone using it.

There is probably a reason or two for so little info on this one....and why they decided to throw it in for free on the Christmas deal.

It probably goes a little deeper than the standard 12" DD, according to physics, anyway, but that standard DD can be shockingly deep under the right circumstances in decent soil.

Not many have them and most posts I found are recent owners that just got them like you and have not gotten out with them yet.
A few posts from hunters that have tried them have all mentioned the same thing....they are really heavy, unwieldy and not easy to swing.
Some were looking for help dealing with the extra weight, slings, belts and whatever, one guy mentioned they could break your rod if you whip it around to fast.

More seem to opt for other coils from different dealers like Nel when looking for more depth than the standard Fisher DD, they seem to be slightly smaller than the 15" but much lighter with many reporting some decent depth gain so win win if you are going into your wallet for new coils.
When spending money on new coils that seems to be the problem for this big Fisher coil...it was expensive when they came out, ($249), and too many cons and not enough pros or benefits compared to others so they never sold well.

On the other hand free is a great price for a deep coil and no matter what the issues if it helps you find just one great thing in the future well worth the price you paid.

thanks REVIER I wont be able to get out with it till spring as we are in the middle of another snow storm. maybe if the weather breaks and we get a big melt ill try it out in my test garden. I'm thinking about getting the NEL tornado or storm before spring. ive heard a lot of guys saying they are good coils and not as heavy as the fisher. ive got a few 1850-1860 yards to hunt so ill see what I missed with my vaquero and at pro.

I picked one up last year. It is heavy that's for sure, mowed grass is fine but I don't recommend bean stubble or tall grass with it. The coil separates targets and pinpoints pretty good. The verdict is out on how much depth I gained until next spring but I can say that it hit the deeper targets I have found so far harder than the stock coil hit similar targets.
