F75/70 "little coil" question. Which is better?:bouncy:

Thank you Elton. That's the kind of input I was hoping for. I figured the 5" to have more of an "I" pattern under the coil, and the 6.5" to have a conical, enlongated "O".

I have heard the 6.5 is not as reactive in moderate to high mineralized soils as one might think. That's where I concieved the "sloppy DD" idea for its pattern. Probobly not as "knife-like" with more depth in the middle than the ends.

Cometguy, that's another reason for leaning towards the 6.5. For nugget hunting, I'll be running in AT most of the time, digging everthing that doesn't scream iron. And caliche can be a son-of-a-buck to get through. I really don't want to have to widen any holes because I didn't get a solid pinpoint.

I'll post what ever I decide and my results with it, once I get it.
