F75 coil question

Quake

Well-known member
I was reading somewhere on the internet someone saying there useing a bigger coil than the stock because the f75
picks up the smallest of items, and misses some coins. Was curious if this was true.

Picks up small objects...true.
Misses coins...................false.

The bigger the coil the deeper the coil, usually, in mild soil anyway, so they might have been referring to some extra deep coins somewhere.
I hunted in great soil and with that big DD coil easily got to the 12-15" level so I don't know how much deeper you need to get.
