The middle coin is dated 1943, it has Belgie and Belginoue.

Very hot peroxide for 1 minute, take a very soft baby tooth brush and rub very lightly until I know it's not a rare date coin then rinse very good and soak in extra virgin oil for a day or two.
Works great for any type of copper.

Mark,
I saw the shine and was thinking oil had a part in it. Thanks for the info! I am pasting that into notes on hints I keep. I haven't tried peroxide yet.

Last evening I took a very encrusted nickle and hooked it up to the electrolysis set up and forgot about it for about 15 minutes. Looked at the water and it was dark brown / grey and had rolling bubbling. Retrieved the now pitted and very warm nickle and fortunately it was a 1998. A reminder to me to pay attention!
