F75 in all metal...wow

Took the F75 out in my yard for some practice and decided to give it a shot in all metal mode and wow...what a powerful machine. Going tomorrow to do some CW relic hunting and will be taking this monster along. The thing I like is that even though you are in all metal...and it gets a little noisy...it still identifies the good targets and gives you numbers that let you decide whether to dig or not.

The more I use this machine the more I really like it. I am going to hunt the spot we did last week where we pulled 8 CW bullets up...and go over it again in AM...I'm thinking it's going to find more than we did the first trip.

Cant wait. Also a question...does anyone have VDI list of air test numbers for CW relics that they would care to share? All I have so far is the CW mini ball/gardner numbers and that is a 57/58. Thanks

Eagle buttons will be 34 to 37 roughly, flat buttons in the 20 range. I would dig all 20 and up if looking for relics of all sorts.LC's will be about 75 to 80,IH's 58 to 62 or so.
Good luck

Great info thanks a bunch. So far have only recovered bullets, but hoping for a button or two and large cents would be awesome. Thanks again!

Shield nickels and V's mid 20's and up to 30, 3 cent silver piece and Flying eagles 44 or 45.Half dime 62 and 63.

Thats some good info DocBars !! I dont relic hunt, but since I read your post I feel as if I may be missing something!!!! hh rick in mi.

If you find a picture of the meter for a White's Blue and Gray Pro detector, the face plate gives ranges for various relics. I did not find a picture tonight in a quick search. The Blue and Gray is the same as the 6000 or XL Pro except it has a faceplate that gives ranges for relics rather than for coins. The XL Pro has a 0 to 100 scale and it ID's with numbers that numerically match what the F75 identifies targets as. If you find a picture or if someone has one to post, it will get you some ranges.

PS ... or maybe one of us should start compiling information like what DocBars has and get it put into a stick pin reference at top of the forum ;-)

I know that they do that in the etrac forum...and it is very helpful when you are in the field to take a quick look at the reference card to get an idea of what might be in the ground. The F75 is a depth monster, very sensitive and very capable in most any ground. I am having a great time learning mine and appreciate ya'alls input and help.

My F75 Gb's around 50-55.Enfields 50-55,Gardners and 3 ring .58s 80-85, Eagle Coat button 40-45, Cuff button 28-35, 69 cal 3 ringer 85-90,Burnside 65-70, .44 colt dragoon bullet 50-55, Box plate 90-95,Reed Fuse 85-90, Round pistol bullets 50-55, 69 roundball 75-80......of course the deep targets will bounce but within 6-7" those are the numbers i normally get here in east tn.

If you're on a CW site, dig all repeating audio signals, ignore the VDI. Too much to chance digging numbers.

It's a CW site, and to be honest if I dug all repeating audio signals...I could spend an entire day in a 20X20 foot square. This farm was built in the 1700's and has a LOT of metal in the ground. I have only begun to hunt this place and it has really produced great so far...I have dug probably 50 or more shotgun shells...just because they sound so good, along with plow tips, modern fired bullets, and old beer cans.
