F75 is amazing....

At a heavily hunted park today, F75 in All Metal Motion, Sens 75, Thresh +1, GB 65. I hit a small spot with mixed signals, VDI jumping from foil to quarters, but, the signals sounded good. I reduced my swing to about 1" and rapid, then picked out what looked to be a dime. About 2 inches down I find a zincoln.....about par. Rechecking the tiny hole, I still have my dime signal and put my Pro Pointer in the hole......loud and clear, I'm close. One little scoop and there she was, my dime! It was just under and to the side of the penny. Swung the hole again and get a nickel/tab signal just an inch from where I had dug. About 2" down, here's my nickel......pointer goes in the hole and buzz!....here is the tab about an inch away! Swung the hole again and get a quarter signal in the same hole! Back in with the PP and buzz again!.....another little scoop and here is my quarter! To make a long story shorter, I got 3 quarters, 4 nickels, 4 dimes, 9 pennies and two tabs within a 12" circle. These were not mixed signals, they were distinct seperate signals very close together!

To those of you that think this machine is simply noisy.......listen to it and pay attention, it may be trying to tell you something! This park is heavily hunted and I am sure this pocket spill had been skipped over in the past because of the odd signals. I'm glad I listened.

WTG Roland.....HH.......DAN........God Bless

Yeah, I figured it was can slaw at first. Apparently, others did too, as this had been there for some time........not a new spill.

Great hit on that one Rol, Your getting the the hang of it now...

Today I hit four coins within a 6" circle but I only hunt in low disc. I never use all metal to coin hunt as I like to hear the high tones. The all metal constant audio just doesn't work for me. But like we've read many times, "to each their own."

Yes it is! I have one from the first batch and is quite the insrutment.

Got mine from a dealer that sells alot over seas from CA. and he dropped ML long ago.

I hear the F75 is a favorite in the Sudan. AM mode is killer and don't for get to fast grab in the air.

WTG Roland,I hit my fav. park the other day and the f75 found me a silver plated spoon stamped H.Sears&Son 1863 German Silver!! hh rick in mi.

SJ, what are you talking about when you say, "fast grab in the air?" If it was a joke, it went over my head.

Rick, cool find on the spoon. I have a stainless fork in my collection of "whatevers." My trip to the park yesterday was in the All Metal Motion mode and covering the same ground I have been over in the past. On an two hour hunt, I dug 9 quarters, 7 nickels, 12 dimes, 30 pennies, an earring and a small 'silver' wire ring that looks like something from a gumball machine or a county fair prize when someone couldn't guess your weight. These close up pics show where the plating is peeling off from being in the ground for some time. It and the earring both showed up as a penny. The earring was only about an inch down, but, the ring hi a strong 62-64 signal and was ~6 inches deep.

All things considered, it was a great hunt.......two hours of solitude, 58 coins and a couple of novelties...not to mention a bazillion pieces of foil and tabs! BTW, what's up with those cap liners about the size of a 50 cent piece, thing plastic/paper/foil getting so deep!? I have found those darn things at 4+ inches and I know this area is not plowed or tilled.

Edit: P.S. Now that my hand is no longer sore, the Hori Hori knife is proving to be the best plug cutter I have ever used. The handle could be much improved, but, the knife function is terrific!

Roland, The air thingy was for stat.when it starts to wander.
I must be getting old. Nice finds and izzant AM a blast?! If your going to pound an area, the small coil really does not loose depth much if any.

had a similar experience a few weeks ago.. i was detecting a camp ground and got a barrage of hits in about a foot circle so i went slow back and forth several times and i finally got a quarter hit,, just an inch down there was a 53 quarter in the middle of a ball of foil and several pap tabs
