I would like any info on the other coils...the 10 inch looks like it would pinpoint well.....Have you tried some of these other coils....thanks and God Bless.........Dan

I only use the 11DD and the 5DDa don't like the 10 inch

Thanks Low-Boy Thats what I've used also 5-11 inch dd just thinking about some others and how good they may work.....hh.....Dan

4X6 is in my opinion best for depth and separation. The problem with the small DD is it's only get about 4" in the ground and it falses off iron just like the big one.

Thanks Shambler....How deep you getting coins with the 4x6

I did not find the 10 inch concentric to always pin point as spot on. If the coin was slanted, the target was an irregular shape or two different targets right next to each other, I'd not be right on the target pinpointing with the 10 inch like I am with the 11 inch DD. Over dirt I prefer the 11 inch DD to the 10 inch concentric. I read (I think it was from Mr. Bill) that the 10 inch is the coil to use on the salt water beach. I used the 11 inch on the beach and did well before reading the recommendation for the 10 inch. Did not take the F75 LTD on the last beach trip or I would have tried the 10 inch coil at the beach; so I can't give my personal opinion on that usage yet.

The 3.5 x 6 elliptical is the small coil I like. I like it better in the trash than the 5 inch DD. I have found that I can get right up to poles, fences and re-enforced sidewalks and wiggle out coins closer in than anything else I've used. The 5 inch is good too, I just feel like I get a little better feel and uncover things better walking around a target in trash with the 3.5 x 6 elliptical inch coil.

tvr....thanks for info........hh......Dan

In BP mode I was getting 6-7" with the 5" DD and it helped me find a 7" deep wheatback pocket spill that for some odd reason the 11" DD didn't, and I have hit the exact spot it was located at several times before. I used the 10" concentric a lot when I had my F70, and when I upgraded it to the 11" DD I felt the F70 was less noisy, got another inch or two of depth, and was better in trash. I haven't tried the 10" concentric on the LTD yet. I'm dying to try the 12x10" SEF coin in BP mode on the LTD

Thanks Brian let us know how that goes if you try it .....hh.....Dan

7" - 8" on the 4X6 with iron all over the place. It's a great coil. Interestingly enough, I was getting the same depth using the F75-lite as I am with the LTD in NP... not sure what that's about.

Went out with friends with that 5" DD and they'd call me over when they had a good coin (they were using Explorers). Careful excavation on the first one was a wheat at 5" and the next was a silver dime at 7" . No sound for me - nada - not even a peep! Don't know how folks are getting "6-7" on that coil. If I ever get ambitious enough, I'm going to start video taping this stuff to stop the "inches-stretch" that happens on forums :)

Thanks agaln Shambler the 4x6 sounds like it's working good.......good luck........Dan
