F75 LTD SE LIMITED

That's sort of a tough one. Gold can look like pull tabs or the higher end of the foil spectrum. I never notch out or discriminate out the higher end of foil and I always leave pull tabs to be seen and heard. Usually when I've found gold rings, they come in at about 22 and the signal is pretty steady and has a shorter sound than foil would normally have. On some larger rings, they VD at the higher end of pull tabs and again, they are steady sounds and a pretty consistent VDI readout. But unfortunately, like they say, you have to dig a thousand pull tabs to find one gold ring. I think that is a gross exaggeration, more like only 900 pull tabs per gold ring. LOL
I think I have developed a sort of "ear" on pull tabs. Sometimes they just don't sound like the usual pull tabs and of course I will dig it, and sometimes it isn't a pull tab, maybe a knife, or some kind of jewelry.
Good luck and happy hunting

Hello Bill,

I would suggest you direct that question to Steve Herschbach on the Prospecting Forum. He has vast experience using detectors for nugget prospecting. I know for sure he has used the F75 for that specific use. I don't think you could get any better information for nugget hunting set up.
