F75 SE ....I'm not waiting for that 5x10 to come out.

I got a new F75SE the other day . I have yet to use it . Just turned it on and checked it out. When ever i put to the floor it gets this siren sound, I am sure i will figure it out after reading the manual. I like the little 5" coil for trash and i think the 11" is to big. I am not waiting for Fisher on the 5x10 coil. I am going to get a Nel Sharpshooter and i think that will be a all around coil for me. I hate to ask any questions because they may be stupid , but hey who knows. More to follow i hope. GS

That 11" is one of the best coils for depth matched with separation. I hope the 5x10 separates like the 5" with the depth near the 11"...that would be a sell.

The siren sound is a overload warning. You're going to love the Sharpshooter coil.

I just ordered a F75-SE. Now I need to order another Sharpshooter coil.:) I already have a couple them for my Omega and T2SE.

I guess I also need one order one for my Tesoros.

That would be nice Steve O if the 5x10 coil would work like you mentioned. Thanks tabman , i thought that was the overload sound from reading a post i thought i seen about the overload sound. I just wanted to make sure. Also i hope you compare the F75se and the T-2se and see what one you like better. There is something about the T-2se that i like and not sure why. lol Because the F75se is what i hear is better. HH,GS

Ok , so i called and they are out of sharpshooters. Won't be getting them in for 2 weeks. Thats ok cause i won't have it out for some time with this weather. GS

My Sharpshooter coil just arrived. I ordered it 3 days ago and it's here already. Now all I need is a F75SE to attach it to.:)

Colonial has them -- $120 free shipping -- that is the 5.5 x 9.5 DD sharpshooter. I bought one for my F70 and really like it. It is a little shy of matching the depth of the 11" DD but the pin pointing is every bit as good. It tends to say everything within 3" is 3" deep but depths past 3" seem to be right on. It sets up just like the 11"DD, Just plug it in and go. Great for working tight areas. It is of the open design but I have not found this to be a problem. It also comes with a coil cover, a little bonus. I also bought one of these for my F2, but returned it, it was not so sharp. I think the F2 is under powered for this coil. First my wife did not like it (her machine) second it seemed it lack a definite lose of depth compared to the stock 10" coil. It might be a good replacement for the stock 8" coil. As for the Sharpshooter for my F70, I would buy it all over again, a nice utility coil. My 11"DD will remain my prime search coil. The air test depth comparison was within an inch to and inch and a half less for the Sharpshooter which figures when you consider the rule of thumb for depth determination on various coils -- the max depth will be equal to the diameter of the coil -- want more depth? Buy a bigger coil. I know, I have heard quarters being found at 14" with a 10" or 11" coil, but I have not found that myself. I think Tom Kowoski , the NASA guy, records that he detects targets at 14" with a Fisher CZ 3D and a 10" coil. I think he is the one, also to say that the rule of thumb is still, Max depth equals the dia. of the coil. So, the Sharpshooter is 9.5" and the 11" coil being about 2" larger yields a difference of about 1.5" to 2" which I have observed in air testing. So, if you decide to make the Sharpshooter your main search coil it should only be because you do not want to dig 9" or more, because then you are talking some serious excavation. Food for thinking
