What do you guys think about these settings.....I want to do some deep scanning and experimenting......
disc=0
sens=99......or what I can tolerate
bp or cl
1 tone swing speed moderate to slow if in cl real slow, gb often.......listen for good sounding tone check vdi often and dig the good and iffy signals.... ......I know most coins will be 0-6 inches but in old sites I may find much older deeper coins....what are you thoughts and experiences........Thanks........Dan

Wow Dan, you are unleashing the beast. I'm not sure if I have any advice, but I know i am anxious to hear how you do. I am probably falling into the "easy groove" with my LTD. I have told people since I have gotten the LTD that I need a wrist pad to write the programs and settings down sorta like a quarterback. We are all curious about those deep signals. Good luck with your experiment.

Yep Don this is what I'm thinking of trying soon........I'm gonna let it loose lol.....maybe I can stand it for awhile.....I'll try these setting maybe soon I hope.......hh......Dan

i use the t-2 ltd but wouldn't all the tones sound good in the 1 tone setting. of course i believe with the t-2 it is set in 2 tones in bp.

Chuck It may be a solid sound.....That's why I'm saying experiment and listen to the tone I can check the vdi also may be some dailing over to almetal involved just trying to hear deep targets and make determinations dig or not and results.......I may be training myself outside the box so to speak......hh.......Dan
PS I think I would get the low grunt for iron anyways just some other factors I've read, maybe Tom Dankowski's info I'm thinking of......

Well Dan---I'll say one (two) thing(s)---You're sure letting her out of the cage & you're a brave man!-----You're getting in the league with the heavy weights.---Don't think I could handle those settings (yet) but I'm sure others could. :thumbup: -------Del

OK guys took it out this morning for about 45 min....in my own yard which I have already pounded with the ltd....nothing new to report just some deep nails there is old activity here ...gotta try it in a old park soon keeping my eye on the vdi alot.......hh.......Dan

Curious as to sweep speed you are working with ... is the sweep speed on the order of 6 inches a second or a 3 foot sweep in half a second?

In BP in real trashy areas, I've slowed way down to 6 to 12 inches a second with good results ... but if I push the button and switch to DE, I need to increase the sweep speed a lot to resolve targets ... and my mind doesn't correlate that info as well as BP and a slower sweep.
Cheers,
tvr

that is about as good a setting in my dirt that I can get for unmasking iron and targets.

Tvr very slow sweep looking for deep targets in bp and cl process......trying to hear and see something missed that would be deep ......the park I mentioned has been pounded for many years.....hh.....Dan
