Here are a couple finds from a tavern site now a soy field in just outside the Albany ny city limits. Found with the 11in biaxial in je mode sense 85 disc 5 dime 8ind. Spanish 1755silver 10ins gold garnet/ruby not sure which and diamond chip ring 5ins. All from the area around the tavern foundation. No historical plaque! Private farmland. The owner actually choose to keep 2large coppers a 1798cent and an 1812largie! OK by me i like silver and gold!!!!!!!!! A small price to pay for anytime permission to hunt. Thank you for looking. Sorry about the blurry pictures I had to have my friend Dean size them to post them. HH. To all. C t

amazing

I was actually driving back from. Albany the misses had a medical consult for upcoming eye surgery and I saw the field. With farmer owner. Inboard his tractor we talked a few minutes and he gave me permission. To hunt and asked. To show him what I might find by the old tavern area old tavern I asked. Sure he said it over yonder. Well some foundation stones and the chimney remains convinced me to hunt it then and there the misses didn't mind it was a nice day mild not too windy. Anyways other than the items you see were 2 large coppers some Pepsi caps odds and ends iron nails but I only dug 3. Hopefully next week. I'll get back down and search a bit more. Again thanks for looking. HH. Tom

Nice finds, Im up in your neck of the woods, let me know if you need help working that site. I know its hard but i give up some stuff to owners also. Like you i approach folks and ask. Often folks will say yes, but you'll never know if you dont ask, and i know some diggers who are hesistant to do so. Good Hunts, CO

Fantastic start. Keep us posted on your adventures. :surprised:

Very cool. Getting permission to hunt in a site with history like this is nearly as much of a rush as the finds themselves .Congrats on the oldies:super:
