Found this coin today with the stock 5 inch coil on the F75LTD2

Nice find.

Beautiful coin man! Thats worthy of a happy dance lol ..hh rick in mi

The coin was about 4-5 inches deep on a sight bank in a yard. My buddy with me said I promised him a cap bust that day. I said if I find it does that count? And 1 hour later I find this 1834 DIme. My other silver I found this year is a 1900 barber. So this detector has found 2 silvers this year and the E-trac has 15.

Great find and in great condition! Heck of a yard you have there!

I found an 1836 bust half dollar earlier this year in California, that's a find I'll never forget.

HH,
Brian

Super nice find! If that coin could talk what an interesting story it would tell. It's probably been laying in the ground for about 175 years by looking at the condition it got lost early in its life. That's definitely a trophy find.

Again WOW that's a beautiful find man. I'm envious for sure. HH Yank

I went to a coin shop to see what the grade of the coin would be. I have no intention of selling it. The young guy looked at the coin and went to the computer and told me that did I clean the coin? I said no. he already knew I found it metal detecting. I said maybe the dirt caused it to look cleaned. He said no it had to be cleaned before it iwas lost. Total crap. I used water and rinsed it off for 5 seconds. Did nothing else to the coin. The coin looks in increable shape out of the grounds. He tried to tell me there were cleaning marks on the right side of the head. Bull shit there is nothing on the coin. You can see in the photos there is no scratches on the coin. He then asked me where I found such coin. I told him in indiana. I beieve this coin is near AU and once he seen the value on the internet he tried to screw me on the coin. He said it was worth 75 to 135 due to its "cleaning". If it wasent cleaned it was 250. That experience made me mad.

Those people who own and run pawn shops are like that, anything you have is pretty much junk and anything they have is totally awesome and valuable. I'd bet a million dollars that if you would have sold him the coin and the next day I would have went in to buy the coin he wouldn't say the coin had been cleaned and would want top dollar for it. I won't even go in those kind of places anymore because every time I do I walk out frustrated.

I told him I wanted to have it possibly graded not to sell it. I guess he wanted to tell me how crappy the coin was to steal it. Funny how he went over and looked it up and sudenly
