F75LTD2, First every Barber quarter, 5 inch stock coil

Went back to a site that I already found 3 silvers with my e-trac. Found a 1909 Barber quarter that i missed in high trash with my 5 inch stock coil. That coil has found most of my epic coins. It is the best small coil I have ever used. It can hear coins that are surrounded by trash.

Really nice find on that silver quarter! Four silver coins in the same site is getting rare. There's nothing like taking a plug up and seeing that silver shine back in your face. I've only found one of those old quarters myself and it was a 1905 with an O mint Mark .

That Barber quarter is a nice old find. And, yeah, that 5" coil is a killer in trash. Good hunting. HH jim tn

the other 3 were 2 mercs and one war nickel

Nice find. For some reason, it seems the seated Barber is difficult to find. I found an 1873 seated just last week, my first one. Excellent condition as well.
Used the F75LTD2 as well with the 11" coil.

My buddy has found a lot of them. He has found over 10 barber dimes and quarters. I have also a barber dime I found last year with the 5 inch coil. The barbers I have look a little crusty. I do not know if is what they are made of. Because my other silvers look a lot better.

I've found two in my lifetime, but they come out of the ground looking like any other silver coin did or does!

Mark

They are the same silver content as other silver coins. "Cruddy" and stains come from the type of ground they have been in. Iron, rocks, asphalt in a site will affect a coins condition along with fertilizer, laying in water or low spots that hold water affect coins conditions, as well. HH jim tn

thanks for the info. I hope the next one is not crusty
