I woke up early this morning with the rain making music on my skylight. I drank some coffee and did some things around the house. Finally the ran stopped and I headed out to the ole park to see if I could find some silver coins. No such luck, but I did manage to get some clad coins. I decided to leave where I was and go to a new place that I've been thinking about trying. Right off I found a wheat penny, I knew that was a good sign. I found six of them (44, 47, 51, 55, ??, 54) one right after another. My hopes were high.
I got a high audio tone, but the ID numbers were bouncy. It sounded really good though, so I dug down around 4 or 5 inches and popped a 1945 Mercury Dime. I wasn't expecting to find silver that old at this site. Maybe a Washington silver quarter or Rosie. A few digs later I did same thing again, but this time it was a 1953 Rosie. I only hunted there for around 45 minutes, because it was late and I had go to the rest room.
I'll be back!
I was running the F75SE in the boost mode, sensitivity 60, discrimination 7 and mostly using 3H tones. GB was around 68. NEL Sharpshooter Coil.
