F75SE :fisher: 6 Wheats, 2 Silvers And Some Gas Money:smile:

I woke up early this morning with the rain making music on my skylight. I drank some coffee and did some things around the house. Finally the ran stopped and I headed out to the ole park to see if I could find some silver coins. No such luck, but I did manage to get some clad coins. I decided to leave where I was and go to a new place that I've been thinking about trying. Right off I found a wheat penny, I knew that was a good sign. I found six of them (44, 47, 51, 55, ??, 54) one right after another. My hopes were high.:) I got a high audio tone, but the ID numbers were bouncy. It sounded really good though, so I dug down around 4 or 5 inches and popped a 1945 Mercury Dime. I wasn't expecting to find silver that old at this site. Maybe a Washington silver quarter or Rosie. A few digs later I did same thing again, but this time it was a 1953 Rosie. I only hunted there for around 45 minutes, because it was late and I had go to the rest room.:) I'll be back!

I was running the F75SE in the boost mode, sensitivity 60, discrimination 7 and mostly using 3H tones. GB was around 68. NEL Sharpshooter Coil.

Do you think maybe De mode would settle the numbers down Tabman ?? 5" isn't very deep for the F75 to hit coins. so De might work better ????????????

It seems to me that the boost mode does better on ID numbers. I ain't complaining, being a Tesoro user, I mostly go by tones anyway.

On the F75SE if you get a clean short high tone you better be digging and not worry so much about the ID numbers.

Ditto on the F70 also.

Nice looking silver!

When you say "clean short high tone" you mean more than just a repeatable, very brief high chirp, don't you?

Anyway, congrats!

Big Congratulations there Tab!:clapping: You sure have a fast retrieval method to pull that many targets!
Mud:surprised:

Yeah, it's a very brief repeatable chirp sound that I'm referring to. A high tone that's drawn out is too big to be a coin. A silver coin has a very distinct chirp.

Mud, I was only at the new site for 45 minutes, I was at the old site for hours. I'm nowhere near as fast as you are.:)

I've been pretty tight lipped about the NEL Sharpshooter coil.:| I don't want the secret of how good they work get out, especially to those who detect in my area.

Great job Tabman, love that shiny silver!

Are the Nel coils made in Ukraing? If they are, it might be hard to get them now.

Yeah the NEL coils are made in the Ukraine. I don't care if they're hard to get, I got mine and I love it.
