Well Folks, we have our Fall Hunt Group. The names you see below are the unseen and unknown people you and I converse with on our favorite Forums. You'll finally get to see and shake the hands of your INTERNET friends. I hope you will enjoy this day in October as much as I know I will. This is a chance that would not normally present itself. By taking the first step in contacting me, you gave yourself the opportunity for a lifetime of memories.
The day of the Hunt will go something like this:
Those closest to Keene or flying in and rooming in Keene, will all meet at the Dunkin Donuts in the Shaw's and Wal-Mart Shopping center just off the Rotary of 12-9-10 and Winchester street. Be there early enough to get your coffee and be READY to LEAVE Keene at 7:30 AM. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Walpole where we will join up with the folks at AME'S Shopping center on Rte 12 about 3 miles east of Bellows Falls. Those people will be coming in from 91 in Vermont. They will all be in a group behind the Savings Bank of Walpole. I have asked Brian, one of our locals, to keep the group entertained.
As a group we will go to the Hunt site and park in rows on the left side of the first field as we enter. Th Hunt site is 5 minutes from where we joined up.
Once parked Ron will be set up to have you sign the releases or take the ones you brought with you. When you sign your release, you will be given a number. This # is to be kept with you for the entire day. Without it you can enter NO drawings or Participate in ANY events. Do not loose your #.
The site is located on a hill. We are parking at the base of the hill. The corn is planted on top and field is all around it. I am going to park at the top where about 10 acres is pretty much flat. I will have all the drinks and prizes in the truck and will take any items you would like taken to the top. Elevation is about 600 ft. It's not a steep climb but could be a little tiring for some if you do it all at once straight up. I will give rides to those younger gents. No vehicles aloud on the big field. But no one need worry about getting up and down.
I'm going to have one drawing before the hunt. Some at the noon break and the rest at the end of the Hunt. There are also going to be some tokens buried in a selected area, each one turned in to me will be worth one Ben Franklin Half Dollar.
We are permitted parking in the land owners field and we have to drive through his yard to get there. Once you are at the Hunt site, you are there for the day. Should you decide to leave and it's not an emergency, you are gone for the day. I have to work as hard for the land owner as I have for you folks. Also, Please, no sight seers. Paid Hunt participants only.
The hunt starts when we get organized and ends by 5M.
Any other questions. Please email me.
