Far from home yesterday

I had to drive 300 miles to a place in Indiana I'd never been before. I scoped the route out on mapquest satellite and found a few parks along the way, so after I got done fixing a machine, I went detecting on the way home. I found this one little totlot in a tiny little old town well off the interstate, Man, those old houses were screaming old silver! It was about 1 oclock, and hot, I only swept for 20 minutes. Heres your nickels Zeek! This place was a wood chip public totter, chips all rotten to be danged, signals everywhere, zippers, snaps, pulltabs, foil, coins all stained and some deep ones, obvious nobody in this little town has a beep broom. No jewelry except this heavy Zebco brass 33rd anniversary belt buckle. Running a light sens on the F70 like usual in this mess got me 53 coins for 4.55. Thats the kind of hunting I like, rapid signals, easy recovery, chances for gold/silver. Gas was 3.80 when I left the house at 5am, and 4.10 when I got home at 5pm.
I'd like to make an extended run working some of the places I'd seen. Year totals so far are 6138 coins for 482.42 Hope you all are getting out...its pretty prime season coming.
