Faraday shielding of xp deus coil

I have a question for you techies out there. If I put the coil from an xp deus into a faraday box would it be able to communicate with the controller? I ask this because when I want to fiddle with custom programs on the detector I try to keep the coil far away from metal objects and the controller. Just wondering if a faraday box would block the signal from the coil to the controller. I don't have the time, knowledge, or resources to find out for myself, but I bet somebody out there does. Thanks.
