Fast...Deep pro's and cons....

I realize deep for that deep silver and fast for trashy areas..Would like some input just what happens when you run with both on at the same time....I realize this has been hashed over time and again but let me know what works for you for deep silver...

I asked the same ? to minelab last week. This is what i got back......

It's not a no-no but having Fast & Deep on makes it not as deep as with Deep alone, and makes it not
as fast as with Fast alone. It is almost like running in normal, only your ID accuracy will suffer.

The only place I can see it could be a good combination is: Medium Trash, Small targets, and only rejecting large or highly ferrous
objects, i.e. not setting up complex disc patterns.

Well I'm glad that Minelab cleared up this non-sense with fast AND deep on at the same time. I'm still not sure why it would work for med. trash small targets, w/ little disc. I wonder if anyone has actually found a target with deep on (or fast and deep) and then not been able to hear it with deep off. I do hunt with deep on, but have never really noticed that much of a difference - in fact it seems to make shallower targets sound deeper which I don't much care for. Any comments out there???
