:veryangry:I am very unhappy with FedEx. Bounty Hunter is El Paso fixed my 202 and shipped it ground FedEx. It rained 1-2" in the San Antonio area on Monday. I got home last night and found that my 202 had arrived safe and sound fro BH fixed at no charge. I opened the box and all went down hill from there. Some dumb bunney at fed ex left my package out in the rain, and my MD looked like it had just been pulled out of the river. I took pictures, let it sit over night and put the batteries in this morning. My 202 made the usual beep and sound and then you could have put a 110# brick of gold, silver,or anything under it and nothing happened. I got my dig camera out and took pictures and then called the great FedEx:ranting:. I was told to make out a claims report and return the 202 for evaluation. After eval where did they want me to have the 202 sent, back to me or to bounty hunter???? I told the lady about three different ways what she could do with the 202. Let your mind go wild on that one. I have to wait 2-3 working days to get a form from them, and then in 5-7 working days I will get an answer. I feel I am getting into a pee contest with a skunk.

:twodetecting:The sad part is my granddaughter and I were going to MD Thurs-Sat this week of her spring break:twodetecting::bounty:

:clapping:I was very, very pleased with bounty hunters service, There was no charge for the repair. GREAT COMPANY:bounty::beers:

I VERY much dislike FedEx...I have had nothing but problems with them in the past...When you hire temporary employees to load the trucks, your not going to get quality service...When you underpay and overwork your drivers they are not going to give a flying flip about your package...I have had drivers leave items out on my stairs leading into my apartment, where anyone could come along and just take the package or the rain or snow could damage it. I have had them just literally toss the package down on the ground or floor...I had them drop a 25 pound $300.00 12 volt power supply on the floor at my door...Now I was home, with the TV blaring...All he had to do was knock on the door. I gave the guy the third degree. Luckily the supply survived the drop. I would not recommend FedEx to anyone...I have little faith in UPS as well...I ship USPS almost exclusively. Most of the time it is cheaper, and safer...

Well if you helps you guys at all don't ship anything UPS either. I worked there for 3 years loading trucks and you do practically throw packages around. But that's what we were told to do and I'm sure FEDEX is the same way unfortunately.

I realize that the guys cannot take their sweet time to neatly pack your stuff on every truck, but the stuff marked fragile could be set aside and loaded last no???

I get the same from Fedex...Now UPS treats me great [know the local drivers]. My only issue is that my pitbull loves UPS trucks. Everytime he spots one the race is on. He chases it and inside he goes. He never bites anyone, but he does expect to go for a ride. Anyway thats how I got to know the local drivers. I am just happy that they still stop at my house.

:ranting:They picked up the detector and were supposed to fax me some paperwork last week. Guess what nothin yet, go figure:ranting:

Rennie

Hope you got a receipt for the detector from them...They are liable to keep it and say you never gave them anything to cover their butts...

:detecting::clapping: I called fedup this morning and raised a fuss, they finally faxed me the paper work. I called Veronica Castro at BH and she said that fedup had sent the 202 back to them and they are repairing it and it should be on the way back to me by Friday this week????:clapping:

now I can look for more :pulltab:

Rennie

Veronica is just the best...:clapping:...I have spoken with her in the past and all I can say is First Texas got themselves one fine lady there...Glad to hear your machine will be back to you hopefully in working order once more...

:clapping::happy::beers: she sure is a fine lady as you said. I got my 202 back and took it out in the creek bed and found a piece of wire that was really only about the size of chicken netting about an inch long. Guess what, I still haven't heard from the famous FEDEX OR LIKE I CALL THEM NOW FEDUP

fedex is like everybody else nowadays... after the allmighty buck, charging exhorbitant prices for little package care. usps and ups are just as bad; been burned more than once from each. and with little or no recourse. it's a shame, it really is. just my two cents worth,

:ranting:I got a letter yesterday from FEDEX, and as soon as I can scan it, I am going to place it on this page and let all of you know how worthless FEDEX is and how great the people at Bounty Hunter are. The letter from fedex said after review, they can find that they did no wrong by letting my 202 get wet sitting on the dock in route from El Paso to my home in New Braunfels, and therefore would not pay for my claim. I sell on ebay and will not use FEDEX even if I have to deliver myself,:veryangry::ranting:

:cheekkiss::clapping::bounty::cheers: To Veronica at Bounty Hunter and the people on her crew in El Paso, Tx that took my 202 back and repaired the SCREW UP IN SHIPPING FROM FEDEX. They now have me as a big fan and a devotee to the Bounty Hunter Brand.:detecting::inlove:

I know how you feel rennie...I had an item get damaged by EX-FED, and they would not take responsibility for it also...But, the folks at Arrow Antenna were nice enough to replace the item at no cost to me...I see the demise of FEDUP in the near future if they keep this customer non-service up....I have also banned FedUP from my shipping list...It is USPS or UPS now, but it has gotten that so many things are being ordered online and mail order, that these companies can no longer take the time to handle each package as it should be handled, and it is a shame that your items are no longer guaranteed, even when you purchase insurance...I no longer purchase insurance....If the buyer wants it, I add it to the price I charge them...it is not worth it to me to insure an item just to hear FedUP say they will not cover it...
BTW, my other hobby used to be Amateur Radio...de N2OMK

Happy Hunting,
