The dfx when you put it in 3.3khz you could change a setting and expand the silver range for better iding of higher conductive targets and it would compress the foil range. Then when it was put in the 15khz mode it would expand the foil range and compress the upper vdi's. I was wondering what happens with the deus when the freq is changed.

Nothing just the frequency is changed. You can program any way you want it is extremely functional and versatile. All seperate pretty much. You can change the discrimination ranges and such completely seperate as well as associated tones ranges for it. 4Khz though has a factory preset on some of it that you can't change. All the other frequencies you can change all things around.

Hello JB...your understanding of the DFX and its 2 frequencies curve relationship to targets, proportionally applies to any detector using closely similar frequencies.

DFX.................3.0 KHz. .DFX ............15 KHz

DEUS..............4.0 KHz............DEUS..........18 KHz.

Those characteristic curves are a function of the frequencies used and the targets subjected to those frequencies.

the software designer can 'morph' any VDI values to 'digitally' place targets in numerically alternative order.

This was done with the curves for the same targets, on the Fisher F75 compared to its predecessor, the T2.

The target concerned was either the screw-cap or crown cap ?????
