Ferrous...Conductive...?????

OK I get that the ferrous number is how high the iron content is ,and that the higher the conductive number is the better the target ( if we are talking coins and jewelry),but what about when both numbers are high or the same ? And when pinpointing is it the highest tone or the loudest tone in the absence of a high tone ? I have been finding some coins but nothing good yet ,although I am amazed by the number of signals I get in a spot I just scanned. I'm looking forward to all the great finds I'm going to make once it all falls into place.

Well..... not exactly. That ferrous number is an arbitrary number on the wave curve and has nothing to do with what the metal content is. It makes it easier to understand. If you are saying numbers like 30 30 then you are talking about it being in the upper left side of the smartscreen... that being iron. Do you know how the digits run? Its like on a carpenter square.... at the top of the square going left to right its 31 and runs ACROSS to 00 thats as you call it iron content. Then at the top right of the scale again for cond its 31 going DOWN to 00. Sounds like you are dealing with HOT ROCKS... 00 31 on the digital scale. Rarely will you get a 31 31.... which im told is a meteor by someone i know that hunts them with an explorer in the Vegas area. Im not certain what you mean about when pinpointing. In pinpointing if you are in a trashy area you need to raise the coil switch to pinpoint then lower it directly over the target. In pinpoint you are in all metal.... so its going to give a tone over ANYTHING metal be it shallow or deep.
