Fiberglass Shaft

To Eric or who ever might like to reply.
can the aluminum shaft on the 22 or GP effect the performance when it is in tracking, when using the 18" or bigger coils? I have been told it will. I would not have thought it would effect the performance as it is all connected together and moving at the same time. I can buy a full length fiberglass shaft to replace the aluminum shaft, I would get one if I was sure it would make a difference. They are not cheap to buy, what do you think?

Provided there is no relative movement, it should be OK. I always use a fibreglass lower shaft so that there is no close metal.
Eric.
