out for 3 hrs with the Explorer 2,modified SmartFind Screen, man sensitivity 26,Ferrous, Fast(by mistake). Nailed a no date Standing Liberty quarter(variety 2) at a good nine inches, loud and clear good lock on the screen. Its not often I find one of these, maybe only 4 in all the yrs Ive been detecting. Also got a no date wheatie at 7-8 inches.I later realized I was using Fast so switched to Deep and then got a nice 1919 merc at only 4-5 inches(half the bands wore off).
Once in a while I would get all these wierd signals for a while till I realized I hadnt switched the X1 probe back to coil:(
Only 61 cents in clad but was looking for the deepies.Hadnt had a day like this in a very very long time.If I can drag myself out of bed early tomorrow I shall return for another go.Would like to end the year with a bang as its been a flop for silver so far.

Hey Mike........... Not a bad day at all and sometimes Fast works just as good as Deep. It just depends on the conditions and it appears that you lucked out with your choice of using Fast by mistake. Nice finds. HH.

Thanks Eddie.Had a few iffy signals that I didnt dig.Dug a few rusty bottlecaps that jumped to the far upper left screen and also read 31-31,00-30,and a few other numbers.Didnt dig much junk signals as I was comcentrating on the silver ones.

It sure is fun finding those Old Standing Liberty Quarters no matter if the date is visible or not. They are just a great looking coin to find and the bigger the Silver the better. Congrat's on the Coins and Good Luck and HH if you make a return trip.

I may try a pattern today just for the heck of it besides iron mask.Looks like I will get out later today once it warms up:))

Think I will try a few new things today.Couldnt sleep last nite with the coffee I had and seeing the crosshairs off the right top of the screen all nite:))))
