got this at a colonial field in maine on sunday.we've pounded that field for three years straight and it always gives up something to bring us back. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
 
Scott[me]and i have found over 30 coppers in this field through the three years we've been hitting it.
a william and mary copper[scott],alot of kg's[2nd and 3rd],and a few english items[lion hat emblem all rolled up in tough shape,but nice].
it was a scratchy sounding penny/shot gun shell id but pretty deep[8 inches].i saw the back first and turned it over and noticed it was a military button and i was pumped[aint got too many]. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
my friend scott pointed out to me this was a real nice find,and filled me in on what it was. <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">

it cleaned up better than i coulda imagined.heres a pic of it right outta the ground.
 
That long neck eagle tells me its a great find - do you know what it is exactly?
