First day in a long time that I've at least this good. Taking a while to get my strength and energy back. The company fired me Mon. afternoon for violating the absentee policy and supposed quality issues. The owner asked me twice this year how old In was! I did get a live person to talk to at the National Labor Relations Board and they are sending a packect to me to file for age discrimination. Scrambling looking for a job. As if a company will hire a 60 year old CAD Designer that just had a heart attack! I've been given all kinds of bad advice and some really good advice. Before I went in to work Mon., I asked the Lord for his will in the matter! I will still need an attorney even if the E.E.O.C. does decide to take up my cause. If I understand it they will try to get the job back but I would lose the benefit of the lost retirement contributions, vacation etc. The Lord is in charge, not the devil, so we will see how it all works out. Those that can get out keep swinging!
May God you all,
Paul(NWO)

I'm glad you are feeling better Paul and I'm sure it will take a little while to get back up to speed. I am sorry about your job and will pray it works out the way you would like it to, but as you said, the Lord is in charge and His will, will be done. Have you considered teaching CAD? My dad got laid off from TVA within 3 years of full retirement and started teaching drafting at a local state college. Then they asked him to teach CAD and he had never used it before but taught himself how to use it. He ended up teaching over 10 years before he officially retired from ITT. Just a thought!!

Continued prayers for your health and your job situation!!

God Bless!!

Just remember Jer. 29:11 He has good plans for you.
Call me when you can.

Good to see you posting - maybe a few ideas wil lpop up for you top consider. I'll keep you in my prayers to find another job. The one suggested to teach CAD sounds kool, steve in so az

will pray about the job situation for you Paul. Businesses just don't have the integrity they once had. They probably figured this was a good excuse to be rid of you before they had to pay out any retirement money in the future..meaning more profit in someone's pocket.

What they fail to understand is if they get rid of the Christians it will be like Soddam and Gommorah...when there were no righteous people left God removed the sin running rampant. Businesses will see the same thing and not know why.

God will keep you and in His way meet all your needs. Keep the faith Paul you have lots of Brothers and Sisters praying for you and yours.

Good to see you back! Sure hope mine wasn't in the category of "really bad advice" :)

Hang in there!

Sherry said that the judge can make them restore all your benefits and years of longevity etc so you don't lose it all when you win the case. Just have to make sure the lawyer that takes the case specifies you get it all back and not just your job. I think there is room for mental anguish for the treatment they have given you as well from losing the position.

I'd tell the lawyer see I get it all back or better yet tell the judge the company can do that or pay for early retirement without penalty to you. I think that is more than fair.
