..... but not to worry ..... my justification / rationale is that I used to spend a WHOLE lot more $ on my boat / fishing, and raising my daughters. What little I spend (lose) at the casino, my daughters won't miss when my wife and I pass away.

"Being of sound mind" I hope to spend whatever it takes to keep me and my wife happy and entertained until we take the old dirt nap. No one ever gave us anything and we've not promised anything to the kids other than we'll not be a financial burden on them. Weve scrimped and saved and are now for the first time in our life are out of debt .... we are on the down side of our lives ... and enjoying every day.

Going to soon drive up to see my new grandson and pray that I live long enough to take him detecting and get him involved in the hobby so he enjoys it as much as me! His dad has a detector I gave him (plus my other son-in-law) but he (they) is (are) too busy making a living to enjoy it .... so it's up to me to teach my grandkids about the rewards of our hobby.
