Finally got out for awhile.......

Dispite the weather being 35 degrees I still got out for a couple hours
with the Ace 250. Didn't find much but then I wasn't expecting to. The sports field
I went to was hit really hard last year.....by me. The snow has melted and the digging
easy. Found the usual pile of junk, not seen here, and a handful of change totalling .90cents.
Even found a new Lincoln penny.
It was really great to get out and not be cooped up all day.

Good for you bud! It would have to warm up and stay warm for a week to melt all the snow we have up here! Thanks for the post and the pic's, it helps the rest of us that can't get out!:garrett:

I got out for a little while today. Windy though 20 - 25 mph winds and temp of 59. So temp isn't to bad but man that wind. Thought I'd do something I used to do back in Maryland and Virginia. That is go find a piece of woods and get lost and search everywhere. Wow was that a mistake here in Port Orange Florida. I thought that the Saw Palmetto wouldn't go that deep. Once the trees created a total canopy with total sunblock I believed it would be just like the woods up north and the ground clutter would thin out. Yea right!. That sure didn't work, hahahaha. If you haven't tried it you wouldn't believe how tightly packed the Saw Palmatto can get, and there is a good reason they call it SAW Palmetto hahahahaha. Not sure I want to go and do that again. There wasnt ANYPLACE to swing the detector. Got stuck in the woods for about an hour. Checked a few gravel trails in the area but they were full of aluminum every 2 inches. Going off trail just wasn't an option that panned out, but hey I did get out and the trees and Palmetto blocked the wind totally hahahahaha. I miss Maryland and Virginia country side but I sure don't miss that cold and snow. Hope it gets warm for all of you real soon.

>what coin is that on the bottom to the left of the lincoln penny? Is it a peso?<

Chucky Cheese token, probably worth MORE than the Peso.
