Finally got out with the T2..

No great finds but mainly a hunt to get acquainted with the T2SE. I went to place that is littered with iron and my AT Pro had always sounded like a machine gun. I experimented with all the settings, ran the sensitivity high and then low in areas. No deep targets but several very small items that even with a fast swing in all that iron, the T2 sounded off with authority. I like BP for tall grass and uneven ground! Most of my hunts are in rough areas so this setting is something I specifically wanted. I also wanted the cache process and did a small amount of testing with it. In air tests it gets crazy 'depth', like 5' on my smoker and about 8' on the side of my truck!! I did both those tests several times each just to be sure. I'll probably do more tests because I'm not sure I still believe what I saw! I do know that the downside of CP is that it will not ignore small objects like my TM-808 does. Still, I think those two detectors will make a deadly combo for the type of hunting I do most. Time will tell!

A couple other observations that won't be new to the Tekkies-this thing swings smooothly and feels great. I also find the audio to be smooth and easy to get used to, even with a bit of chatter. I tend to run my detectors chatty anyway and the T2 has a lot to say!

I'll try! At home there's just too much EMI and the detector seems to air test like crap! Once I get enough time I want to do a head to head against my AT to see which one works best here in north Texas soils. I live in a region of black gumbo clay which is somewhat mild with GB #'s in the 70's-80's on the Pro. I get out west to the red sandy soils and up into Oklahoma with their red dirt a bit as well. Lots of testing to do, very little time to do it! I'm a landscaper so you can imagine what my time is like right now..
