Finally got out...

I got out for about 1.5 hrs today, I used my 6x8 sef coil, the ground was semi-frozen and hit solid ice after 3-4 inches in some spots. I only found .76 cents clad and the usual trash. I think I'm gonna use the stock pro-coil until the ground is completely thawed. This is a upgrade from my Ace 250, so I need some more hours on it to know the tones better,as expected. I am satisfied with the sef coil and will go back to it after some time. The temps will be warmer tomorrow, so I'll try again.

Hey Ual10,
Glad you got out. You will enjoy the Safari more and more each day. It took me quite a few months to really feel comfortable with it. I suggest one day to go out and really concentrate on DEEP targets and the sounds the machine makes not only in the search mode but in the pin point mode as well. Pin pointing targets more then a couple of inches is a challenge for me. Seems like the target is always displaced to one side or another. I have tried all the PP tricks that I have read online. Good thing I have a pistol probe to help in that area.
HH,
Bunker
