Beautiful detecting day. Sure was good to get some serious swing time in.

The F5 did what the F5 does.

Results for the day:

Best find was a little silver feather.
28 quarters,
22 dimes,
9 nickels
67 pennies,
1 washington dollar
1 foreign coin - a 2 new pence ??? got to look up
couple of junk rings and a TON of trash.

Great job, Mike

I am going to order the 5"DD this week. Below, is the boat docks of my townhouse complex that sit on the ground every year when the lake goes down (since 1972). The mud should be dried in another month and I plan on hunting though all the pull tabs to see what people may have dropped getting in and out of their boats, an I don't have to worry about the holes.................nice.

Sure Mike, go ahead and flirt with that fancy new rich girl on the next block.

But remember that your "sweet home" is right here with the F5.

If your "vision" isn't so good, she'll be right here waiting faithfully for you to come home.

V3? Yeah I'm watching it. I came this close to buying one in September with some award money I got from work but instead I spent that on a solar telescope setup I've been wanting for the last couple of years. The sun is a hot object to watch :nerd:

The plan is to buy a V3 as a fool around unit with my F5 gold finds and that probably won't happen until Christmas of 2010 if I don't start getting out more. I find more gold jewelry with the F5 than any other machine I've ever used.

Looks like a great site to hunt, Dan.

I remember one time at a crowded boat dock where we were in a hurry and instead of waiting to disembark at the dock, I grabed the truck keys in one hand and jumped overboard to swim in so I could get in line. Yep, you guessed it. I dropped the keys in about 7-8 feet of water.:yikes: Talk about crapping the old britches :help: You know the old joke, "what do you call a man with no arms or legs in the water? That was me. I located myself with some shore landmarks and the boat dock and started bobbing up and down in the area hunting for them with my feet. Got real lucky and found them in about 10 minutes.
Lesson learned. Wait your turn? Naw....put the keys in your pocket before you jump overboard!

Looking forward to what comes out of there.
