The area that I worked has millions of pulltabs. One swing can generate a number of signals. Picking through the pulltabs (I dug a lot, too.) I found the following. 1 Quarter, 2 dimes, 8 nickels, rest of the coins are pennies with 5-6 wheats. Couple of odds and ends. I don't know about the ring but have to take it to a jeweler to find out about it... Didn't experiment any at all. Deus Fast with a few changes. Richard

I like the machine.. ..very versatile and exceptionally fast in the ability to seperate targets. Easy to navigate... I love the weight. Us older folks should be able to hunt all day with this unit..
I was hunting with a friend of mine who couldn't decide whether to dig a target or not because the ID was jumping around. .. He asked me to check the target and the first pass with the DEUS showed 2 distinct targets, not only that but it told me that one target was a nickel and the other was a pull tab. Exactly what they were !!! This happened 2 times and his machine was a top of the line machine and using a DD coil.
Another instance, there was a very deep target with an adjacent target. One target was about 6 inches and the other at about 11 inches. The DEUS saw both targets, I dug the shallow one and now the other was more pronounced BUT his detector was silent. (Pulltab at 11+ inches)
I could go on but I think you get the idea. Best to All, Richard

I hope the ring real, CONGRATS!

Richard,
I got out with the one I got from you and it is the cats meow in pulltab areas and I even found some clad money where I thought
there was none.It won't take too long to make the Deus my favorite machine. Gary

Very nice. Hope the ring is real. You'll have to let us know how your CTX3030 class went and what you think about it.

Gary, I am running DEUS Fast with sensitiving about 90, discriminate at 50. Be mindful of when you lower the hunting frequency, the ID numbers will decrease too. If the area is infested with pulltabs, it is worth your while to work, top to bottom, side to side and then work at a 45 degree angle. Listen for the low, faint whispers.... deep coins... Take care, Richard

Too, Gentleman, I will have the stone checked.. Richard

Nice hunt/finds Richard! Looks like your doing well with the Deus. I hope that ring turns out to be real for you but either way it is a nice find. Thanks for sharing and HH -Marc
