my taxes for 2004. Man, what a pain. I hope you guys and gals didn't have to go through what I did? I used the Turbo Tax program which makes it a little easier. Alot of reading. At least I'm getting something back.
I know, this is a touchy subject and not one that people want to discuss. But I just had to let my frustrations out somehow. I just have to leave it in the Lord's hands now.

I've used it since it came out. Saved me money each year.

and don't want to go into details. Am glad you were able to get yours done - and ya didn't even need an extension - that is good news.

Wouldn't do it any other way. It's almost fun... well, OK, maybe not fun... Let's just say it's better than doing it by hand (or trusting someone else to do it). At least the program has all the explanations of everything, every form you'll ever need and talks you through it. What's really neat is that it remembers all the information from past tax returns too. It even takes all the info from the Federal form and moves it to the State form. Once you're done, hit a button or two and it's all e-filed. So while it still isn't fun, it does make it just a little less painful. Guess I should do mine soon.

I remember the first time I did my taxes on an old Mac (that's all we've used). It was a long time ago. My Palm Pilot has more memory than that computer did Now that I'm thinking about it, the screen wasn't much bigger than my Palm either
It took (literally) hours to print out all of the forms and worksheets. We've come a long way since then.
