finally something broke on my C$

Welp, it finally happened...something on my C$ broke.
It was the speaker. The last day of my Va week long trip the speaker sounded a bit gravely. I though it was batteries and I changed them out and forgot about it. When I got home the speaker wouldn't work at all. I unplugged the speaker and tested it with an Ohmmeter and sure enough it's blown.

Oh well, it held up for many, many hours of use. You see I don't use headphones. Note the speaker is very weatherproof from observation. Not just a cardboard speaker.

I noticed when I got "nosey" one day and opened the C$ up for a little spring cleaning that the speaker is a nice heavy mylar type of material. The construction of the Coinstrike as a whole is pretty darned water resistant.

the speaker on my 1235x easily by popping it open & going to radio shack. Will you fix it this way or send her in?? You can always use headphones in the meantime.......

Hey, well I am trying to get the part instead of mailing the whole thing off since I don't want to be without it. :) Someday I may experiment with a different speaker (with the proper ohms) just to see if I can find one that isn't so grating in All Metal mode. This speaker is a weather resistant type and seems to be of decent quality.
