FINALLY!

After a rainy day I went out for 1 1/2 hours after supper to an old school that I walk to and dont hunt often enough. I finally got my first Indian Head Cent! 1906. 1945 and 1946 wheat cent. Also my first Boy Scout bolo tie thingy. What appears to be an old locker key. A flat copper disk that is too heavy to be a RR flattened cent. The whatzit says "Transfer 88" on one side and "WSAR" or "WSRR" or "WSBR" on the other. Might be a railroad or bus transfer? I don't know but I plan on asking some old timers. If you have an idea give me a shout.

The rest is more keys, half of an old knife, a piece of a blood pressure machine, old zips, a mess of clad coins as usual.

I am so happy to finally get that IH monkey off my back. The detail on the reverse is better than that on the obverse. Good day for a day I had planned on resting.

Cool! Thanks for the information. I should have mentioned that it was made of lead. Another first. Od that at this stage in my carreer I find 3 firsts in one short hunt.

Congratulations on your most wanted finds..Now you can take it easy on yourself.:clapping:

that's a good amount of coins for 1 1/2 hours + some old coins sounds like a good hunt to me.

stands for West Shore Railroad which was a passenger line on the West side of the Hudson. Passenger trains now only run on the East side of the river.

If anybody is still reading what were these lead RR seals used for?
