finding rings with the t2

small gold ladies rings are in from about Discrimination 50 and up....at 52 53 you loose the little ones...Men's gold rings are 49-50 and up on my machine..
good solid hits too..not raspy sounding.I'm in the process of checking different rings and drop off Id's..will let you know more in a few days...The nice thing is so far I can use Disc 40 and still hit the rings........at Disc 50 still get most but the smallest tiniest rings.

With the base setting of 60, 40 and 3 tones on my machine Silver Rings are in the 87 to 92 range while gold is in the 50 to 55 range. All the signals I've dug in the high 40's have been different types of foil. I've found two gold necklaces that were more of a chatter in the low 50's than a solid signal. Soil conditions have some effect on the numbers and I've found that wet ground will cause the numbers to vary from the "normal" numbers you expect for coins. To answer your initial question on how the T2 does at finding jewelry, in the last year I have found 30+ silver and gold rings with the latest being a gold ring with three rubies. My wife loves this hobby. ;)

just wondering if the id numbers might do kindley like on my dfx .small gold 10 to 15 an bigger gold rings clime up to high as 50 or so. all the gold rings or not just between 50 an 60 or they { id nos. im talking about} for if they were that woultent be much range. could some coment on this? thanks

Having just recently got my T 2, I have not found any gold with it yet, but took 8 gold rings that I had found with my F 75 and checked their readings on the T 2 just laying them on the ground. 5 of the gold rings, 3 10k men's class rings, 1 10k ladies class ring and 1 mid size 14k nugget ring, all locked on 30 (nickel) with my F 75. With the T 2, these same 5 rings all id'ed 57-60, almost spot on as nickels read. 1 small 10k with diamonds read 52-53 with the T 2 and was 22-23 with the F 75. (If I recall correctly) The last 2 rings, fairly hefty men's 14k with stones read 62 and 64 with the T 2 and 45 and 50 with the F 75. These last 2 just sounded a little different, so I dug them. Digging numbers that id in the nickel, tab range will get many rings, but certainly not all. There is no doubt in my mind by not digging foil readings, I am missing quite a bit of gold. HH jim tn
