Finds from December 20th hunt

Finds from a short hunt on December 20th. Most were found on a school playground close to where I live. They put wood chips in and it's easy digging. I was surprised to find the number of coins that I did because I've hunted here before and didn't think there would be that much in it. But the Xterra 705 and the 18.75 mhz coil were working to perfection. It was even picking up small pieces of a foil sticker that came off of a car or something. Also spent about 1/2 hour at a local park and found the ring in the center of the picture. I believe it's costume jewelry, but it's my first ring and I'm proud of it. I concentrated on checking under the trees around the ball fields where people will congregate in the shade before and after games. Didn't get them all checked, but it looks promising. Merry Christmas to all and Happy Hunting!

I admire the fact that you are out hunting on Dec. 20th. My last day was Nov. 30th. Congrats and Happy Holidays!

Keep it up, I just got back from a short lunch hunt and found .78cents and a junk kids ring as well as a fairy pendent, a cars door knob, a set of keys, and some junk metal. A little disappointing but what can you do in a half hour other than just get real lucky. Congrats on your finds. Hope the ring turns out to be of some value.

We haven't really had any cold weather here in Central Indiana yet, so the digging is still easy. By cold, I mean below freezing all day. We are over our normal rainfall by about 2+ inches though, so it's kind of soggy. But as long as it's not too cold and the ground isn't frozen, I'll continue to hunt. No competition for any of the park areas this time of year either!

Nice finds. That ring looks as if it's darkened more by oxidation than rust or corrosion....I'd look very carefully for a 925 of Stg marking. HH

Nice finds. I like finding rings no matter if they are real or not. Merry CHRISTMAS to you also.
