On my way to work I stopped by the local lake in the hometown where I grew up in, for about a 30 min. hunt. The lake had been drained so I figured I stop for a quick look see. I picked up 2 penny right off, the 2 rings, which I figured were kids rings, then I picked up what I thought was a flat washer, some fishing weights and a few 22 shells. Not much but what do you expect for 30 min. When I got to work I looked at the rings and they were Sterling, I think a young girls rings. I cleaned off what I thought was the washer and it had some writing on it. I got out my loop and discovered that it was a game token. The lake goes back to the turn of the century, so I'll have to find out if they ever used game tokens. The little token was worth the 30 min. hunt. I'm sure it doesn't have any value, but neat just the same.
