First 2008 gold at the beach (and ice?)

Well, I spent a couple of hours hunting the negative tide this afternoon. I was hitting a lot of clad in one area and quite a few "greenies" (which I love to see). I had been talking with a Korean guy who had a Radio Shack MD and decided to go back to hunting... 2 minutes later I get a good (but shallow) signal, dug one scoop and saw that nice look of gold in the sand. An 18K earring. Didn't even realize it at the time, but there's diamonds all around it. Considering it's 18K and that fact that I can see inclusions in some of the diamonds, I'd say they're real. (gotta buy a diamond tester :) ) I don't know how anyone wore this... it's so soft and fragile. Anyway, here's the digs...

Dude that has got to be real diamonds! :) Congrats my friend! :)

Joe - That ear ring is identical with the one I posted yesterday. Only mine is stamped 10 K. Hope yours are diamonds !! I didn't test mine as I dont think they are real.
Glad you got a big time find ! steve in so az

There's about 32 of them (I think there's 3 or so missing). After cleaning, the sparkle is unmistakable. Under the loop, there are definite inclusions in some of the "diamonds" so I'm pretty sure they are real. I'll stop by my friend's jewelry store tomorrow to have them checked out. These are a little larger than the ones on the ring I found last year; and a different cut. I'm sure they're not worth much on their own, but I tell ya, I'm going to have a killer ring made one day :)

someone who took all their old jewelry with diamonds and put them into one ring. What a wowzer it is - insured at 25 K. steve in so az
