Let me start by saying WOW! I had a great two hours at a local park getting to know the Deus. I went over places I've been and some places I had not. The park is the largest in our town in Virginia and has been pounded for years by MDs. It still produces large amounts of clad and the occasional silver and IH. I started in Basic 1 with disc at 30, sensitivity at 90, reactivity at 2, iron volume 0, frequency at 12, and left it at that for the first day. My first find was an iron nail ringing in at 82??? No, below the nail was the brass ring at 7". The machine did not even recognize the nail. Stoked from the start, and it only got better. The small piece of brass in the center is thin and about 8" down. The IH came up next in excellent condition, and now I'm really excited. The rest of the clad came from areas I have worked in the past. This machine is a workhorse and deep seeking. That small piece of brass is paper thin, and the Deus picked it out at 8". I can't wait to get it to my colonial house when I'm off. Sorry for the long winded message, but this machine is something.
