First Day With The SE

Dug enough nails to build a house. Think it liked the Pro coil better than the SEF. Jury is still out. 10,11 and 41 wheat.

I haven't dug a nail with my SEF in forever; drop your sensitivity. I run from 15-20. Crank it up, get iron and ghost signals.

amc

Jim...I agree with amc rulz.

For me and almost everyone I know who uses the 10 x 12 SEF....the one thing they all comment on is that it does well on deep iron.

Not saying that will be the case with you...but that's sure what I would have thought.

Give it some time...and keep piddling with settings. I know you will...and you mightend up preferring the pro coil in the end. Only way to know is to keep playin':)

Good luck and keep us informed

Those deep iron pieces does take some time to ID. But if you pinpoint them and watch your screen and depth meter i think you will see them move to the far left.... any where elce dig-um if they are deep. If you are getting high tones and your depth meter is halfway.... for the most park the TID knows its iron. Of course you can always go with Ferr setting.... then you have the pesty bottle caps. Ive been finding V nickels hit down there by the bottle caps on occassions.

Great job!!!!
