My wife and I have just started detecting, We have bought an xterra 70 and xterra705 and are learning a lot from this forum and some from you tube especially super snoopy36. Thanks to all who have contributed to this forum as you have answered all of our concerns and will keep us learning as we go. Here is a picture of our finds from last weekend at the local High school, we only popped out the shallow targets as to not disturb the grounds, also found a 1919 and 1938 pennies at another location.

....WOWZERS!!!.......great haul there!!

Gaz.

now your hooked line and sinker
Don't get the idea you need different metal detectors.
Keep what you got

Hi, great day out, I see these are aussie coins, I live in Newcastle NSW where all schools now days are fenced in and permission must be sought. Were you using discrimination mode 2 for the coins on the 705?

welcome aboard

Hello galps

Nice stash of coins there. By now you've clued in on the numbers our Aussie coins bring up on the X-Terra. While I own and prefer the Sovereign GT over the xterra for predecimal coins, I think the X-Terra handles so much easier on the newer (shallower) coins. It's my machine of choice when hunting goldies :)

All the best to you and I am glad that my videos have helped you.

Cheers
