First Full Day with Platypus

I went back to a site that I hunted with the WOT to see if the Platypus can pull these deep coins like the WOT did.
I'm happy to say that it did very well.
6 IH's (1894, 95, 97, 1905, 06, 07)
20 wheats
1926 and (no date) Buffalo nickels
7 silver (1901 Barber dime, 5 Mercs 1917-S, 19, 23, 24-D and 24-D, plus a 1946 Roosevelt dime)
Slotted, signed Goetz token
Some type of pewter or other metal coin or token, the size of a silver dollar. Signal was like silver. Very corroded and crumbling apart, but I can see a few small letters and stars around the rim. It appears to have a man on horseback in the center. I will attempt to clean it up and make sense out of it.
Most coins were 6-7 inches, with a few deeper.
My partner used the stock coil. He found 1 IH, some wheats and a beautiful all-silver pin.
I was happy with the coil's performance. It doesn't feel any lighter than the stock coil. It did seem to be able to separate coins from junk pretty good. One IH was in the hole with a large round piece of iron. I got the iron out first, and when I rechecked the hole, the good signal was still in there, but now it wasn't so iffy any more!

Whe were you running the sensitivity, seems like I have to run mine a little lower the the stock coil.

I started at 24, but as it was running quiet, I ran it up to 28 manual with no problems. This will vary depending upon the soil at the location.

Takes a good bit of experience and practice to get coins like this in Chi Town dirt - nice, nice, nice.
