first hunt of the year and first barber half

Finally warmed up enough to turn the fields into a muddy mess. Pulled this 1902 O barber half and an 1884 Indian that I chunked with my shovel trying to chip it out of the ground.
 
WOW! Love those Barbers! Found my first Barber dime in January and wasn't expecting it at all! Seeing these old silvers come out of the ground is very motivating for me...before the Deus I found maybe 1/10 the amount of old and silver coins as I do now - it's truly an awesome machine!
 
I think you will find that the Deus will reopen some of the sites you might have given up on - especially those that have a high concentration of trash in them . . . . I have pulled some finds from areas in quantitites that I would never have imagined were there after hunting them for years with other detectors.

Keep sharing your finds . . . good luck in 2014!
