First hunt with the Simplex Ultra

Wow, almost a totally different machine. Stability is not an issue ,where as my simplex + could be erratic at times when running wide open.
Ran sensitivity at 25-30 , field mode , iron audio off, with iron tone break at 7, recovery speed 3.
Dug no large iron , and no small iron- good targets had steady vdi
Large field high grass so swinging low was a no go, but did manage fired civil war pistol bullet, a brass fancy furniture decoration, new .223 fired bullet and a .22 lr casing.one flattened bottle cap (aluminum)
My buddy got a ancient axe head , some large plow points, 1943 headstamped 30-06 rifle case, and a 1940's Era condom tin lid. He dug large iron by choice( not many good targets, lots of iron everywhere.).
The accupoint pinpointer also- 5☆'s- the 2 tone descriminator is pretty darn cool, when you get iron close to your target in the hole.
Same for the bluetooth headphones-5☆'S

Hunted about 2 hours in the cold, started with 3 bars of battery , ended with 2 bars of battery- so that was as expected.
I hunted a sister field with the simplex + last year , and dug enough falsing iron targets to weigh down my finds pouch,
Very happy with the Ultra, on its maiden voyage, detector is super light and very fast separation on targets, and did well identifying iron , not much falsing if any.
Nokta - you hit a homerun with this machine!!!

I'm considering that detector along with the Legend.

Gatorfan, I really like my Ultra. It's a different machine comparing it to the orig. Simplex. I bought the Lite just for the small coil. My age makes me do strange things. I sold my D2 to my brother. It was simply too complicated for a 87 year old brain although I do miss the light weight and balance of the Deus 2.
