I went out Saturday and hit on a coin that was so black and smooth I could not read it. It was down at least 5 inches. So I went back to the car and put it in a glass of water to soak.
I went back to the spot and got a 28-30 reading and near the top. I almost didn't dig it, but did. It was only down less then 2 inches and slightly bent. It most have gotten hit by a mower in the past. After wetting it I could see it was a 1892 Indian head. Since it was so close to the top I tell my self I saved it from the next mowing and possible destruction. This is only my second Indian, I got one earlier this year with my MXT
After getting home I found the first was a 1916 wheatie.
Starting to love this 705!!
